Stickies and Frappr

Frappr is freeware for adding contacts and places to a world map. Frappr (friend mapper) was developed by 3 programmers so they could keep track of where their high school and college friends went after graduation. People and places can be added as markers on the map.
The map is zoomable to street level, powered by Google, and can be displayed as a road map, a satellite map (Google Earth) or a hybrid map with the road map overlayed on the satellite map - something to see.

|Google Maps API key used on this website was registered for a different website. You can generate a new key at follow this link.
Flagr: Found it easier to work with than Frappr. Flags were easy to add, edit etc. One drawback - the flag location had to be found by moving over the map/satellite image. Frappr gave the option of entering latitude and longitude. Altogether I found Flagr more efficient. Flagr also provides a small piece of code that is added to a webpage to indicate the size of the map window.
